BUYER BEWARE! Despite all the bad reviews I took a place on this place and boy was I sorry. The food arrived over 1 hour late. Salad dressing leaked all over the bag. The salad was described as being topped with "lots of crispy onions for CRUNCH!" except my salad had zero onions. Oh, and I ordered and paid for a bakery item, which the restaurant decided not to give me. After I confronted the delivery guy about the missing item I called the restaurant where they claimed not to have the item. I explained I had ordered and paid for the item and in fact it was on the receipt. They gladly accepted my money, yet when no items was delivered they offered me no solution. No replacement item, no refund. The employees there seem clueless. Listen to the reviews, stay away!

placed order at 10:10am for an order to be delivered at noon.. its 1:45 now and still no food.I called and they said I put my order in too late thats why theres a delay- orderd a grilled chicken sandwich and a drink... John Taffer would shut this place down

Italian Signature Sandwich was missing most of the listed ingredients (peppers, artichokes, cheese). Out of Macaroni salad, called me to ask if they could substitute cole slaw and then didn't send any cole slaw. Out of Iced tea and sent cheaper drink instead. Order was 30 minutes late compared to estimated delivery time.
Given how simple my order was I'm amazed at how many mistakes they managed to make. Do not order from this place, there are half a dozen deli's in the area that don't have these issues.

They didn't have 3 out of 5 items I initially ordered. Delivery time was nowhere near the 15-30 minute estimate. The pulled pork was dry, The salads were bland, The philly cheese steak tasted old, The veggie omelet was just an egg white with french fries, and the sugar free red bulls were not sugar free. I will not be eating here again.

Ordered juices 1.5 hours ago and still waiting. Called after an hour of waiting and they said five minutes. This was half an hour ago. They claim it takes 15-30 minutes. This is ridiculous. There better be gold flakes in my order for this kind of wait. UPDATE: Been 2 hours and still waiting. DON'T ORDER FROM HERE UNLESS YOU JUST ATE AND PLAN ON NOT BEING HUNGRY FOR ANOTHER THREE HOURS!

Do not order from here. It took 2 hours for delivery and they still got the order incorrect. The delivery guy returned twice with the wrong food. We finally received our order and it's still wrong. Never received our fruit salad.

Third time's a charm! This is my first time ordering from this establishment and not only did it take over 2 hours to finally receive my food but in the interim, I received the incorrect order and then I don't receive any order (even though the delivery person took the incorrect order back). I finally receive my order and my sandwich is just "eh"...you'll be taking a risk if you order from here. Good luck!

This place has a new chef and the food is delicious!!!! The owners are fantastic and will work with your budgets and catering orders. They are open to all your suggestions and really do their best to make you happy with their food and presentations for catering. I absolutely would use them again and again and have for the last 3 years!!!!! Try the food especially the catering, the flavor is worth it!

Order from this place only if you want to wait for 75 minutes for a simple sandwich and fries that the deli itself said would be delivered within 15-30 minutes. I had to telephone the deli twice to find out what the problem was. The fries were mushy and cold.

I ordered the create your own salad twice from 28 Scott's, and I'm going to make it my staple from here on. The salad is incredibly fresh, and the price is very reasonable. They also give you a wide variety of toppings to put in your salad (how awesome is that?!). Really can't complain. Delivery may take a while pending when you order.

This is the second time I ordered the Salmon signature sandwich and sweet potato fries it was pretty good. The first time I ordered they omitted the avocado and the chips. The second time I ordered I waited almost 90mins for a 15-30min delivery. When I got the sandwich it was some other kind of fish that was over cooked. I called them and he insisted it was salmon! It was not and I'm so mad right now!!

Upon placing an order at 7:26am with a delivery time of 15-30 minutes, at 7:56am I called to check on the status just to make sure I'd receive the order in time. I was informed that the delivery man had left already and it should arrive any minute. Twenty minutes later a young man arrived with the order with no purpose, no priority of quick delivery. When I asked why it took so long, he shrugged and mumbled, "idunno."
We have our go-to restaurants and I thought I'd give some other places a try. I won't make that mistake again.

Great little deli. these guys are so nice on the phone, especially the female manager. A coffee ended up spilling during delivery and they offered to resend everything that was ruined. The food that we did eat was very good and inexpensive! Will order from again :) Have ordered a couple times and the food is terrific.

Waited over 1.5 hours for delivery of a ceasar salad wrap. They are LITERALLY 10 steps away from my office. I asked for "go light on the dressing, please." After 2 phone calls to check on the delivery (after the first - I was told " it's walking out now!" 20 minutes later, still no wrap, and I called again. Anyway, received a wrap that was SO SODDEN with dressing, it went right into the garbage. Gross. Never again.

No! This place didn't deliver the order at all. When I called an hour later the guy who answered didn't know where the delivery guy was. After another 1/2 hour got a refund from Seamless, with their awesome customer service. the delivery guy never showed up.

This was an awful experience. I received a confirmation for my order at 11:30, and it didnt arrive until after 1pm. Every time i called to check on the order, they promised it would be there in 5 minutes. I ordered a large create-your-own salad, and they got the order wrong. Not to mention, the salad did not taste fresh. The kalamata olives are canned black olives, and the sweet roasted corn was definitely canned as well. The baked salmon was dry and unseasoned. I will never order from here again!

Do not order from here if you want to actually get what you ordered. Every time I have ordered from here they have messed up my order. Today for example, I ordered a large salad and even though it came in a large container, the container was only half full and did not contain everything that I ordered. Additionally, do not be surprised if they give you random stuff you did not order or want. Even if you talk to them about the issue they do not learn from it. I do not think they listen to your order at all but rather give you whatever they feel like giving you. I will never order from here again.

Delicious. My Argentinean Chicken Sandwich was amazing. Flavors great. Nice sized piece of chicken. Chips, a drink and a pickle. Very satisfying for lunch... and i can eat alot! Even the foccacia bread was amazing. 5 stars for me and i am ordering soon again. Maybe tomorrow!

Fast delivery, tasty sandwich, actually read the note section of my order and toasted my bread, AND added a complimentary snack! Plus the sandwich comes with a bag of chips and a pickle. Will definitely be ordering again.

Very average deli sandwich and I wouldn't order focaccia again from here, quite dense and flat - more like a panini. Also forgot the bacon on their signature Turkey sandwich so it lacked that all important crunch. Guess you need to mention condiments in the comments when ordering, no mayo on it which I figured would be automatic but I was saved by my office drawer supply :)

Horrible!!!! The food I recieved was completely wrong. Their service was also atrocious. I was place on hold at least 3x, each time having to repeat my fustrations and was hanged up on once. Each person I spoke with lacked people and communcations skills. I was promised a refund, with the service I received, I'm not confident I will be getting it. I will be disputing that charge!

I would choose 0 stars if possible. I had possibly the worst experience ever with this place. I placed my order on seamless web at 1pm. The confirmation email said it would take 15-30 minutes for the food to arrive. I received a call 45 minutes later at 1:45 saying that they didn't have 7 grain bread, they only had white and rye. Fine, we choose Rye and waiting for another 45 minutes the food never came. I called the place and of course they said "the guy left already" which was a pretty quick response, considering I hadn't even told the guy on the the other line my name or order yet. Although it was an 90 minutes since i ordered, i hung up and just waiting. another 45 minutes pass.. STILL NO FOOD. I call again. He says the same thing oh the guys on his way.. I asked if he could call the guy to find out where he was because i had somewhere to be in 15 minutes he said he doesn't have the delivery guys phone number. Really Scotts food? Finally, the guy gets to my apartment right before im leaving, with of course... HALF MY ORDER. I call the guy back once again, considering I ALREADY paid for it via seamless web.. and just asked to be refunded for the things i didn't receive. The guy tells me, it would cost his boss money. Clearly, he'd rather charge his customer money, 20 minutes later, he calls back and says.. oh do you want me to send the guy out to bring you the rest of your order? Scott's food, you need to find a more competent saturday afternoon staff.
And, I want my money back.

It took over an hour and a half to get our food from the time the order was placed. I called at a hour past and then 90 min -- both times "oh the guy's on his way." They didn't even ask which order it was -- they just knew, which indicates to me that they were not that busy (and no one ever really is at 630am). My food was cold when it finally arrived. Don't waste your time or money on this place.

It took 1.5 hours for the food to be delivered. The omelete was cold (and when I say cold, I mean frozen!) and the banana was green (and when I say green I mean NY Jets green!). Absolutely horrible! Had to have a trail mix for lunch... Never again.

Food was cold and barely passable. As so many others seem to have said, I waited over an hour and a half for something that should have arrived in 30 minutes or less. Haven't experienced another place on Seamless that so blatantly lies about their capacity to deliver. Also, just to add some insult to injury, I 1) got hung up on after being asked to wait so they could find my food, 2) heard one employee yelling at another after she said that she knew my food was made much earlier, 3) got an angry stare from the delivery guy that brought my food way late, and 4) received a super stale granola bar thrown in the bag "compliments" of Scott's as some sort of lame apology for their website lies. I wish there was some way to make these reviews immediately visible on their front page.

Completely incompetent. I placed a straightforward order. I asked for the goat cheese and sun dried tomato omelet, a side of pumpernickel toast and a pina colada smoothie, After waiting an hour for my food, I got a mozzarella and regular tomato omelet, rye bread and strawberry smoothie. It wasn't just one incorrect item, it was entirely nothing that I ordered. I would have thought maybe they confused my order with someone else's however they were able to get the egg and cheese on a croissant correct. I'm baffled and will not order from here again. If it were an option I'd give zero stars but I have to put at least one.

I had ordered 28 Scott's when they were first put on Seamless Web and their portions were great and the food was fresh. Then, they started to mess up my order...several times and arrive late. I then stop ordering from them for a couple of months and decided to order from them again when co-workers started noticing they were arriving at a decent time. I ordered from them and the first day was great. I got a granola bar from them as well as my food order was correct. Unfortunately that did not last for long. Yesterday I ordered a salad and asked for turkey in it and I got eggplant instead. They've done things like this in the past and although their food is good these little mistakes are annoying.

OMG, I didn't read others review and blindly order the food from this place. And I have to call to that place after 25 mins. The food might not be deliver if I didn't make a call to this Gourmet Deli. And delivery is taking about 1 hrs to 41st street. So bad place to order. don't deserve the one star.

Well for starters, they forgot a third of my order.. but hey mistakes happen! I called, the kept me on hold for a few minutes (really annoying when you're hungry) and came back to tell me that they'd be sending someone out to complete my order. TWO full hours since my order and low and behold... nothing.
Poor customer service isn't about the mistakes... its about not doing everything you can to correct them.

Food is OK and fresh, and giving compliment stuff. But sometime it is missing something from the order such as a bag of chip, a piece of bread from a salad order, and food filling in about 75% of the container (same orders comparing in different ordering times).

someone doesn't know how to read there. given the wrong items, special instructions (as simple as using a roll without seeds) were ignored. took over an hour for a sandwich and chips. not worth the hassle.

It is most unfortunate that vendors can treat their patrons with such carelessness simply because they know they have other customers. On more than one occasion this merchant has had very late deliveries and has substituted items without notifying us. I guess I"ve been slow in taking the hint that they'd like us to take our business elsewhere... :-)

Salad was eh. They substituted a small bag of peanuts for pita chips and sent me feta cheese even though I asked for goat cheese. Nothing gourmet about this place!

Food came 1.5 hours late. Called twice and they lied that it went out.
Food probably is good if you eat it there but mine was soggy.
Won't order again.

Terrible. Ordered a sandwich and a side. Got a call 10 minutes later informing me they did not have the bread I requested for the sandwich, and that they were out of the side. Food showed up 1 hour and 15 minutes after I ordered it, and my office is just down the street. Don't order from here.

I order from Scott's two/three times a week. Recently, I have been BEYOND disappointed; my orders are often wrong; and then I am promised some sort of remedy, and the managers do not follow through.
Great Food, the service is declining quickly though.

I ordered the Italian tuna, and it was absolutely awful. They took an hour to deliver, and they're 3 blocks away. I also ordered steamed veggies, and they didn't include it with my order. The iced coffee is tasty, but you can go anywhere for that...

Prices are excellent; food was good (except cold by the time I got it); but it takes way too much time. Ordered at 11:30. Did not receive until 1:15. This is unacceptable especially since I work 9 blocks away. I would suggest pick up instead of delivery.

The food is GREAT! Just don't call for an order. Using Seamless web cuts the delivery time by an hour! No lie!

05/06/08 I just got my order: a salad and fried fish filet. I placed it at 2pm and it arrived around 3. The salad is the worst I've ever had: croutons are wet, chicken is far from crispy, leftovers of artichokes. I had 2 bites - gave it a try and had to throw everythign out. Such a waist of money!!!

We regulary order their tuna salad and honey turkey samichs. They are delicious! The lettuce is always bright green, crunch and tasty. For the price they are portioned perfectly! Highly recommend them for sandwiches. Thanks Scott's - keep it up! :) I now have other people in the office ordering from their too!

The wraps weren't as good as other places, the lettuce and chicken inside them was slightly frozen. The upside though was that they have Smartwater and complimentary Oreo cookies.

They skimp on the salads - either bring a smaller size than you ordered or use shredded lettuce that is normally put on a sandwich as lettuce for the salads
